With the Orange Super Crush 100 Head, the British cult company sends the next generation of its successful solid state guitar amplifiers into the race. Thanks to the fully analog circuitry with JFET preamps, the head convinces with a lively and overtone-rich sound that reacts exactly like a tube circuit to the playing dynamics and the used guitar. Two channels cover a wide sound spectrum from glassy cleans over juicy crunch and Overdrive to modern high gain Distortion. The 100 watt power amp provides amazingly high volume reserves, so that band rehearsals or gigs can be played without any problems. A reverb effect and serial FX loop as well as a practical DI Out with speaker simulation complete the Super Crush 100 Head from Orange Amps.
The Super Crush 100 Head has two independent channels that react particularly lively to the playing dynamics and the volume pot of the guitar thanks to the analog Class A JFET circuit. The Clean channel, equipped with two gain stages and a 2-band EQ, not only delivers particularly glassy sounds with brilliant highs, but also pushes into bluesy crunch realms when its volume control is turned up. Based on four gain stages, the Dirty Channel delivers a wide spectrum of distorted sounds, ranging from juicy Overdrive for rock to aggressive high gani Distortion for modern metal styles. The 3-band tone stack allows you to precisely adjust the timbre.
To add spaciousness to the guitar sound, the Super Crush 100 head is equipped with a digital reverb module whose authentic spring reverb voicing promises first-class sound experiences. The head also features a serial, fully buffered effects loop that can easily be used with effects pedals or professional 19" equipment.
The Super Crush 100's solid state power amp delivers up to 100 watts of power, giving enough volume reserves for band rehearsals and gigs with a full lineup. The analogue Class A/B circuit provides a direct feel and a pleasant presence. Another practical detail is the Super Crush 100's balanced XLR DI Out, which simulates an open or closed 2x12 cabinet and promises particularly natural sound results when directly miking the guitar sound.
