John Taylor made his mark on the international music scene with Duran Duran in the late 1970s/80s, particularly with their platinum album "Rio", released in 1982. The band characterized the early musical landscape with a stylistic range that moved between pop, rock and synth pop, paving the way for the New Wave genre. The multiscale E-bass with Nyatoh body and Pau Ferro fingerboard impresses above all with its beautiful design and great sound, which is realized by the FD3N pickups. The instrument comes with a matching GIgbag for safe transportation!

The John Taylor Signature 4 Back not only looks great, but also impresses with its high-quality workmanship and hardware. The nyatoh body is complemented by a five-piece maple neck with pau ferro fingerboard, which is fitted with 24 banjo-sized frets and comes with a scale length of 34" - 36.25". The combination of high-quality hardware, comfortable handling and the innovative multiscale design make the John Taylor Signature E-Bass a high-quality instrument that combines modern standards with practical handling.

The FD3N pickups deliver a powerful sound and enable versatile sounds thanks to the 4-way pickup selector and active 2-band EQ!

FD3N pickups with active Rupert Neve preamp circuitry

At the heart of the John Taylor Signature Bass are three FD3n pickups, which deliver a crisp sound and are directly linked to the Quad Tone pickup control, which can be used to control a total of four positions: 1: Bridge Solo, 2: Bridge/Middle Series, 3: Bridge/Neck Parallel and 4: Neck Solo. In addition, the pickups are wired directly to the master volume and master tone controls as well as the active 2-band EQ, which is fed by the Rupert Neve Design circuitry. Furthermore, the E-Bass is equipped with a "Minimalist" Custom Dingwall 1-piece recessed bridge and lightweighted open-gear tuners.
