The Dingwall D-Roc Standard 5 PF Metallic Black Matte combines a successful modern-retro design with the trendy multiscale construction to create the perfect Bass for the modern styles of rock and metal. While the mahogany body and bolt-on maple neck promise a warm sound, the scale lengths, which increase from 34" to 37", guarantee a tight output of every note, even with drop tunings. Managed by a 4-way rotary switch and the traditional passive circuit with volume and tone controls, three Dingwall FD-3N neodymium pickups deliver multi-faceted sound colours with high assertiveness. Lightweight Hipshot bass tuners and a Dingwall Solo Bridge complete the equipment of the D-Roc Standard 5 PF Metallic Black matte E-Bass from Dingwall.

The mahogany body and the "Medium Thin C" maple neck of the Dingwall D-Roc Standard are bolted together four times.

Multiscale construction

The heart of the elegant modern-retro design of the Dingwall D-Roc is undoubtedly the multiscale construction, which allows each string to vibrate with an optimized scale length of between 34" (864 mm) for the G and 37" (940 mm) for the B. Accordingly, the five-string also impresses with drop tunings with a defined and powerful presentation of every note played. In addition to the boldly styled mahogany body with raised middle section, the 5-string Bass also has a bolt-on maple neck, whose slim "Medium Thin C" profile promises optimum playing characteristics on the 20-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard.

With three Dingwall FD-3N neodymium pickups and a 4-way passive circuit with volume control and treble control, D-Roc delivers versatile bass sounds.

Dingwall FD-3N pickups and passive circuitry

Three passive Dingwall FD-3N pickups with powerful neodymium magnets are used as pickups on the Dingwall D-Roc Standard 5 3PU, combining smooth sound development with the right amount of bite and assertiveness. The 4-way rotary switch calls up the pickups in different combinations so that the five-string bass guitar on the bass amplifier comes up with both traditional vintage sounds and modern timbres. In addition to the volume control, the classic passive circuit of the Dingwall D-Roc provides a treble control for adjusting the Bass sound.

Five lightweight Hipshot bass tuners on the compact headstock of the Dingwall D-Roc Standard ensure precise and stable tuning.

High-quality hardware

Last but not least, the Dingwall D-Roc Standard 5 3PU PF Metallic Black Matte is rounded off with high-quality hardware that is perfectly tailored to the Bass . On the compact headstock, the strings are guided to the Hipshot Ultralite bass tuners in a straight line, which not only guarantee a stable and precise Tuning of the four-string, but also counteract top-heaviness.
