A transformer precisely matched to this microphone capsule ensures balanced and clean signals without distortion and coloration.

The sound character of the R14 is characterized by warm and silky smooth recordings, and despite the subtle low-end roll-off, it is still rich in bass. Its clean and natural recording behavior responds particularly well to Equalizer .
