The Tiptop Audio BD808 Bass Drum Generator is the Roland TR-808's Bass Drum circuit adapted into a Eurorack module and tuned to sound like a synth from the 1980s. Without compromising this sound Tiptop have included numerous additions - independent Accent levels, high-powered gain staging, a dual input pulse-shaper and an extended decay. To further emulate the processes of the vintage age the BD808 uses the high-powered input gain stage to produce effects similar to running the old 808s through various outboard amplifiers. This mod can also be triggered from step sequencers, clock dividers and any other pulse/clock sources, and set at high levels can easily overdrive subsequent units - you have been warned!
