Alder body & bolt-on maple neck

The basic construction of the Sandberg Panther clearly follows the traditional bolt-on neck design and consists of a body made of resonant alder and a neck made of solid maple. The former offers unrestricted access to the highest positions of the ebony fingerboard thanks to the wide-ranging Cutaways and ergonomic neck heel with fivefold bolting, while the latter, with its slim C-profile, ensures ideal thumb support and absolute control on the fingerboard. The combination of plastic nut and zero fret, familiar from Sandberg instruments, is used for perfect intonation of all strings in the first positions.

Sandberg Panther VM pickups & active electronics

The Sandberg Panther 4 EB Creme Highgloss draws its tonal diversity from its two Panther VM pickups and the active electronics behind them. While the two pickups impress with their particularly warm and defined character, the 2-band equaliser offers sufficient possibilities to easily adapt the sound in the bass and treble range to any application. However, the Panther can also be played passively if required and provides a common volume control and a treble attenuator to attenuate the high signal components in passive mode.
