The RAM SYSTEM 1000 from Heritage Audio is a high-quality active monitor controller with an intuitive user interface and Bluetooth connectivity. The device features a master level control with 64-stage, gold-plated relay attenuation - a high-quality function that is otherwise only found on large, professional consoles. It enables an outstanding resolution of 64 dB attenuation in 3 dB steps. The active electronics are limited to the essentials and the attenuator is buffered to minimize distortion and noise.
The RAM SYSTEM 1000 offers two pairs of balanced +4 dBu analog inputs (1x 6.35 mm jack, 1x XLR/jack combosocket), one of which can also be switched to -10 dBV. There is also a Bluetooth input, which serves as a practical addition. The Bluetooth input automatically detects the optimum CODEC for the respective device to guarantee high quality. The input source for Bluetooth can be changed at any time with a RESET button. All inputs can be selected simultaneously. In addition to the inputs, the RAM 1000 also has two outputs (1x XLR, 1x 6.35 mm jack) and a first-class headphone output.
On the rear panel there is an additional button directly below output 1, which enables two operating modes: In MON (MONITOR) mode, output 1 remains as normal as output 2 and adapts to all changes to the volume control. In REC mode, which is activated by releasing the button, output 1 is in RECORD mode and the red main volume control does not affect its output level. This is useful for sending a signal to an interface for recording while listening to DAW playback and finding the right level between the two. There is also a DIM button on the front panel, which lowers the signal by 20dB, a MUTE button and a MONO button.
