The Okko FX Holy Grit embodies the successful symbiosis of creamy overdrive, strong character Fuzz and coveted Vintage Preamp sounds. The handmade effect pedal from the Leipzig pedal forge Okko FX draws its flexibility here from its straightforward control surface, which follows the classic layout of typical stompboxes with its 4 knob layout for Fuzz and Level as well as a 2-band equaliser for bass and treble. With a low fuzz setting and the Level knob turned up, the Holy Grit acts like a natural-sounding Boost with organic drive character, while the Fuzz knob provides sufficient distortion reserves for distinctive fuzz sounds. Here, the Holy Grit offers additional flexibility via the Bias Toggle Switch, which is individually set for each pedal and gives the sound either plenty of headroom with low compression, or brute Velcro-style fuzz sounds.
