In the construction of the Nick Johnston Traditional Aged guitar, Schecter not only emphasizes the authentic Relic look but also pays special attention to the playing and sound characteristics. Accordingly, the classic Californian design alder body promises agile handling of the guitar with optimal balance both on the strap and on the thigh. The roasted maple neck, on the other hand, with its flat "Thin C" profile, creates the best conditions for implementing classic and modern playing techniques in all positions of the ebony fingerboard.

The choice for the pickup of the Nick Johnston Traditional Signature guitar falls naturally on the proven Schecter Diamond Nick Johnston single coils, which were developed in close collaboration with the Canadian guitar genius. Inspired by classic single-coils, the Nick Johnston pickups impress with a wide-ranging sound for rock and fusion, which skillfully covers both vocal cleans and creamy singing Overdrive . The pickups are traditionally controlled by a 5-way blade switch and general volume and tone pots.
Schecter Locking Tuners keep the Nick Johnston Traditional guitar securely in tune even with frequent reaches for the tremolo lever.
