Koma Elektronik Detective 1U at a glance

The Detective 1U from Koma Elektronik is a simple envelope follower in Intellijel 1U format. The module extracts a gate voltage and a control voltage from the incoming audio signal, which follows the volume curve of the audio signal. The small potentiometer is used to set the threshold value above which the envelope follower should react. The gate output can, for example, trigger an envelope with each new audio signal, advance a sequencer step by step or be integrated into a logic function. The CV output of an envelope follower is often patched to the CV input of a filter, allowing you to create the popular wah-wah filter effects with little effort.
