What's new?

To have even more fun while practising, Guitar Pro 8 lets you insert audio files as accompaniment. Listen to vocals and other instruments in the software and play your voice along with them. Tempo and pitch can also be adjusted to the audio files.

You can also customize your sound with an effects chain: The new and virtual "pedalboard" provides compressors, EQs, Overdrive and many other gimmicky effects that can be combined and inserted on the fly.

Also on board are new features for precisely changing the sound of each note (duration, offset, relative volume), a small mixer for the drum kit, pre-listening options for the soundbanks during playback, and ways to easily customize the tablatures. The latter allows you to align bar lines with the automatic guides, change fonts and texts of numerous score symbols (palm muting, slap, pop, rasgueado, etc.) and the spacing of the chord diagram in the scoring header, systems, staff and fingering diagrams.

Furthermore, the latest Guitar Pro version includes new notation options such as scale diagrams, nested x-tuplets and piano fingerings. Working with up to 10-string guitars, complex rhythms, and piano fingerings complete with pedal indications has never been easier!

Increase your productivity with the Command Palette, which is similar to keyboard shortcuts in that it quickly gets you where you want to go. With dozens of commands and just a few clicks, you can edit your pieces quickly and easily, so musical ideas don't get lost and can be worked out smoothly.

mySongBook

If you're looking for inspiration, memorizing and practising songs or analyzing pieces you can use the huge mySongBook library. With over 2,000 Guitar Pro transcriptions of popular songs and various optionally purchasable pieces, accompanying/learning is even more fun. And thanks to the new filters, music can be sorted by genre, instrument/difficulty and type.
