The TC Electronic Flashback 2 Pedal continues the design of its successful predecessor and expands the popular Delay/Looper combination with the in-house MASH function and newly developed delay sounds. With the Flashback 2, up to 3 TonePrint slots can now be individually assigned and selected using the Type Selector knob. Of course, the Looper function with up to 40 seconds recording time and the possibility to edit presets with the TonePrint Editor are still included.
The Flashback 2 from TC Electronic is a revised version of one of the most popular delay pedals. In addition to the popular but eccentric tape echo effect, the analogue delay algorithm has also been updated and is now even closer to the original, including the characteristic sounds of the classic devices. Another new feature is the shimmering Crystal Delay, which is inspired by the polyphonic octave algorithm of the Sub 'N' Up.
The MASH button gives the classic True Bypass switch the functionality of an expression pedal, which is activated via the internal DIP switch. In MASH mode, the footswitch reacts pressure-sensitive and controls various parameters of the individual delay types. With the free TonePrint Editor, the MASH button can be assigned to up to 3 different parameters to create dynamic and lively delay sounds and plenty of room for experimenting. The current intensity of the pressed MASH button is indicated by the so-called MASHlight.
TC Electronics' TonePrint Editor is a free software tool that offers extensive options for creating your own effect sounds. The function of the MASH button, including the range of individual knobs to be controlled, can also be defined here for TonePrint presets.
