As a noble deluxe version of the extremely popular ES-335 model, the Gibson ES Supreme Seafoam Green combines first-class semi-hollow sounds with stunning design appointments from the 1940s, which have only recently been rediscovered in the Gibson archives. The result is a truly successful instrument that meets the highest demands in terms of sound, feel and appearance and features high-quality tonewoods and premium components. Naturally, the Gibson ES Supreme is delivered as a genuine instrument from the Gibson USA facility in Nashville, Tennessee in a matching hardshell Case.
Following the classic recipe of the famous ES, the Gibson ES Supreme features a body made entirely of three-ply maple and poplar laminate. This not only has classic vibration characteristics, but also contributes to the unique look of the instrument with its elegant AAA-quality grain in combination with the transparent Seafoam Green finish. The glued mahogany neck, on the other hand, ensures the best playability in all registers, giving die-hard Gibson fans a tried-and-tested feel with its Rounded-C profile. The Super Split block inlays in the ebony fingerboard and the 1940s mother-of-pearl headstock inlays set special visual accents.
The Gibson ES Supreme draws its enormous tonal diversity from its double humbucker configuration, which is made up of two Burstbucker pickups in the Pro version. The Gibson USA Burstbucker Rhythm Pro on the neck delivers suitable sounds for warm, dynamic leads and wide-ranging chords, while the Gibson USA Burstbucker Lead Pro in the bridge position delivers everything from clear cleans to articulate rock sounds with added power. Thanks to separate coil split circuits for both pickups via the two volume controls, even sparkling single-coil sounds are no problem for the two pickups.
