The envelope generator at a glance

The Airstreamer 4 from Endorphin.es is an extremely fast envelope generator that can work as Attack/Decay, Attack/Sustain/Release or LFO. For decay respectively release the curve characteristic is continuously adjustable from exponential to linear and modulable via CV. In LFO mode the waveform and its speed are adjusted with the sliders. Thanks to the VCA input, the output level (maximum voltage) can be modulated by an external control voltage. The polarizer control can also be used to invert the generated voltage waveforms. The unipolar output is more suitable for envelope-like waveforms, whereas the bipolar output is predestined for LFO-like waveforms. In AD respectively ASR mode, the module can also be used as a track & hold or sample & hold, provided that an LFO with square waveform and noise are present at the Gate and Tracking inputs, respectively. The internal sampling rate of 224 kHz is high enough to accurately generate and process all voltages.
