Noise Engineering 's Ruina Versio is a DSP-based stereo distortion module of the wickedest kind. The module combines wavefolder, octaver, phase shifter, multiband saturation, notch filter and DOOM besides just distorting audio signals. If you activate "Smoosh" the incoming signal will be distorted with no less than 128 dB. The sonic icing on the cake of this module is the DOOM parameter: this is a mixture of suboctaver and chorus. The more you turn it up, the louder the suboctave and the more detuned the chorus effect becomes. When asked how much distortion you actually need, Ruina Versio simply answers "Yes!".
