The Haken Audio EagenMatrix Micro at a glance

The EagenMatrix Micro from Haken Audio is the smallest version of the EagenMatrix to date. It features the same digital sound engine used in the Haken Audio Continuum Fingerboards and the Expressive-E Osmose. The synthesizer supports both MPE and MPE+ MIDI, and includes a wide range of presets that can be easily customized with the Haken Editor (available for Mac and PC) and exchanged with other EagenMatrix instruments. Control and power are provided entirely via USB. The modular EagenMatrix engine incorporates various synthesis models, including subtractive, FM, and physical modeling—featuring modal filter banks, a variety of oscillators, filters, and modifiers such as waveshaping and ring modulation. It also offers multiple modulation sources, including envelopes, LFOs, and internal or external controllers. Parameters can be freely combined in the editor, enabling the creation of highly complex and evolving sounds. This makes the EagenMatrix Micro one of the most advanced digital sound engines on the market. Depending on the complexity of the patch, it provides polyphony ranging from 1 to 8 voices. The stereo audio output is available via a 3.5 mm jack, and a sustain pedal or the Control Voltage Converter can be connected through the EXT connection.
