The Intellijel MEMS Mic at a glance

The MEMS Mic from Intellijel is a 2HP slim microphone module with a good sound. The module captures audio signals such as voice, instruments, ambient noise or even wild feedback experiments from the studio loudspeakers and passes them on to another module at Eurorack level without delay. Basically, it doesn't matter what you combine MEMS Mic with, but especially the combo with Multigrain is incredibly productive. :) If you modulate the CV input eg. with a cyclically triggered envelope, the results resemble a tremolo effect. MEMS stands for Micro-Electro-Mechanical System; the particularly small microphones are placed on a circuit board and protected by a mechanical cover. They have a very flat frequency response over a wide frequency range, making them ideal for speech and musical applications.
