With the DMP926S/C from the Decade Maple series, Pearl is focusing primarily on advanced drummers who value outstanding sound and high-quality workmanship. The six-piece maple shell set comes with Remo UT Clear Ambassador heads on the Toms and a Ported UT Powerdstroke 3 on the bass drum. Thanks to the NDL Mini Lugs installed by Pearl, the drums can be tuned efficiently and reliably, guaranteeing optimum performance of the shells. They also allow the drums to vibrate unhindered, ensuring that the sounds develop perfectly. The OPTI-LOC mounting system also supports the sound, as the fact that it only has contact with the shells at one point allows them to vibrate neutrally and thus develop their full potential. The HWP-834 Hardware package, consisting of the P-930 single pedal, the H-830 hi-hat stand, the S-830 snare stand and two BC-830 boom cymbal stands, is also included.
Maple Drum Shells & Superior Shell Technology
The shells of this drum set consist of six layers of maple. Due to the relatively thin wall thickness of 5.4 mm, they react particularly quickly and produce shimmering, balanced highs and powerful lows. All shells in the Decade Maple series are manufactured using Superior Shell technology, whereby selected wood is pressed in high-temperature molds with a hydraulic pressure of 1000 PSI. The result is perfect drum shells with a superior sound, optimum resonance and extreme stability.
The Pearl Decade Maple Snare
In addition to the 22" x 18" Bass drum, the two 10" x 7" and 12" x 8" Toms and the two 14" x 14" and 16" x 16" floor Toms , the 14" x 5.5" Pearl Decade Maple Snare forms the heart of this drum set. With the finesse and rich drive of the maple sound, this snare is perfect for advanced drummers. The SR-700/strainer brings the snare wires to tension quickly, effortlessly and robustly with its twenty spirals, enabling a wide range of sounds from soft to powerful.
