With delay and reverb, the Nux Pedals Atlantic combines two of the most important guitar effects in one housing and offers extensive sound options, making it the ideal pedal for all sound tinkerers and ambient enthusiasts. Accordingly, separately usable echo and reverb effects are available, each with three sound options and can be operated either in series or in parallel. Furthermore, the Nux Atlantic has stereo outputs and a USB socket for firmware updates.
The right half of the Nux Atlantic pedal is taken up by the reverb effect with three first-class sounds. Accordingly, the Spring mode delivers the classic spring reverb of the '50s and '60s, which gives the sound an enormous depth, while the Reverb preset delivers a natural room sound. Furthermore, a Plate reverb is available, which is extended by holding down the footswitch and a harmonic shimmer.
Located in the left half of the pedal, the Delay offers three different modes for particularly versatile echo effects. The ' 70s mode stands for a classic BBD delay with a delay time of up to 400 ms, which is ideal for slapback echoes. In ' 60s mode, on the other hand, the Nux Atlantic delivers the warm and saturated sound of a tape echo with a delay time of up to 550 ms. The ' 80s preset provides more crystal-clear delays without coloring the sound, with up to 800 ms delay time also allowing spherical sounds. In addition to the classic time and repeat controls, the Nux Atlantic also offers a smart tap tempo function with a subdivision option for the rhythm of the echoes.
