The RME Babyface Pro FS is a further development of the popular Babyface audio interface and delivers further improvements in sound quality, without compromises in level, signal-to-noise ratio or distortion values. Onboard the portable high-end USB interface are newly developed analog and digital circuits for highest precision in recording and playback.

Here's an overview of the Babyface Pro FS's new features:

• The +19 / +4dBu switch on the bottom provides a direct way to reduce the output level, thus improving the signal-to-noise ratio for sensitive active monitors, lowering click noise when switching on and off, avoiding distortion / overloads and helping to keep the TotalMix FX fader at 0 dB instead of high attenuations
• Full SteadyClock FS as in the ADI-2 Pro FS for lowest jitter and highest jitter immunity
• Output power of the 3.5 mm TRS headphone outputs increases from 70 mW to 90 mW. THD of both headphone outputs improves and up to 10 dB. Now uses the same operational amplifiers as the ADI-2 Pro. Output impedance of 3.5mm TRS has been reduced from 2 ohms to 0.1 ohms.
• SNR of microphone inputs have been improved from 112.2 dB to 113.7 dB. SNR of TRS line inputs from 114 dB to 116.3 dB (120 dBa). THD line inputs were improved and 8 dB
• 6 samples less latency on the AD side due to the new ADC (5 samples AD, 7 samples DA)
• Power consumption does not increase despite mentioned features
• K-Slot (Kensington Lock) for theft protection
