High-resolution audio conversion and DSP

The Universal Audio Apollo Twin X QUAD G2 Essential+ isa powerful desktop device with first-class audio conversion and offers a wide range of functions for professional music producers. With a 10 x 6 (In x Out) configuration and QUAD Core DSP plug-in processing, it enables recording and mixing at the highest sound quality. Two Unison™ microphone preamps provide authentic emulations of classic Hardware such as Neve, API and Manley, so that the characteristic sounds of large studio productions can be used directly during recording. The integrated Hi-Z instrument input and optical Toslink input expand the device's connectivity options, making it highly versatile.

The Apollo Twin X is equipped with high-resolution 24-bit/192-kHz converters that offer a dynamic range of 129 dB to reproduce even the finest sound details. Apollo Monitor Correction powered by Sonarworks® ensures that monitors and headphones are optimally calibrated for precise sound reproduction. In addition, functions such as auto-gain and bass management are integrated to guarantee quick adjustments and a balanced sound image.

Comprehensive control and monitoring

The interface has integrated phantom power, which enables the operation of condenser microphones and thus supports professional recordings with a high level of detail. There is also a switchable pad that reduces the input level by 20 dB to ensure distortion-free recording even with particularly loud signal sources. The mute/talkback button provides an easy way to communicate with the person recording or mute the monitor output during recording without interrupting the workflow.

With the UAD Console app, users can conveniently control plug-in routing, monitoring and other functions such as subwoofer integration or immersive audio monitoring. The device is compatible with over 200 UAD plugins, including classics such as the LA-2A compressors and Pultec EQs. It offers the ability to create extensive plug-in chains and complex sessions by combining DSP processing with the native processing power of the host computer. The Apollo Twin X is fully compatible with popular DAWs such as LUNA, Logic Pro, Pro Tools and Ableton Live. In addition, the Studio can be easily expanded by connecting up to four Apollo interfaces via Thunderbolt.

It also comes with a comprehensive software package that includes over 50 UAD plugins, including compressors, EQs and effects used in professional studios worldwide.
