Modern camera microphone with clever additional functions

The Rode VideoMic GO II is a professional shotgun microphone with integrated audio interface and DSP. Like all Rode camera microphones, this one impresses with a clean, natural-sounding signal transmission without unwanted coloration. To improve speech intelligibility, Rode has implemented a slight presence boost in the VideoMic GO II. In addition to the mini-jack connection for DSLR cameras, the VideoMic GO II also offers a USB-C port for connecting to a computer or mobile device. In this case, the microphone becomes the audio interface and the jack socket becomes the headphone output. An integrated DSP provides the important basic functions compressor and gate, but also two loudness functions (Exciter and Big Bottom) from Aphex. This makes preparing recordings using level equalization and noise reduction a breeze.

The VideoMic GO II comes with an effective and high-quality swing mount . In addition to mounting on the hot shoe of the camera, it can also be screwed onto a conventional microphone stand with 3/8" thread.
