Designed by Jackson in collaboration with Suicide Silence guitarist Mark Heylmun, the Jackson Pro Series Mark Heylmun Rhoads RR24-7 Lux 7-string electric guitar is the ultimate axe for hard riffs and any metal, grind, and metal-core demands due to its features and design. For the composition of the Signature Rhoads was set on typical tonewoods, gold hardware and two active Fishman Fluence pickups for aggressive sound, which is underlined by its Custom Lux finish.
The Jackson Pro Series Mark Heylmun Rhoads RR24-7 Lux is equipped with both a ceramic Fishman Fluence Modern PRF-MH7 pickup in the bridge position and an Alnico version of the same humbucker on the neck, which can be adjusted with a volume knob and activated by a push/pull tone control. Both humbuckers are provided with two different voicings and deliver clear and crisp tones which are especially convincing under high distortion pressure. Through the 3-way switch, the different voicings of both pickups can be used together or independently, which gives this 7-string electric guitar a wide sound spectrum.
First-class playing characteristics are a given with the Jackson Pro Series Mark Heylmun Rhoads RR24-7 Lux thanks to its composition. The neck-through construction of the flat "speed neck" made of maple makes fingerboard movements on the rosewood comfortable even in the high positions of the 24 frets. The 12" to 16" increasing compound fingerboard radius makes nimble finger movements over the seven strings in all directions possible.
Even with the most intensive use of the 7-string Floyd Rose Original 1000 locking tremolo, detuning can be avoided. The equipment of the Mark Heylmun Rhoads is completed by its gold hardware, including Floyd Rose Locking Sattlel, gold tuners and especially robust Dunlop Dual-Locking strap pins.
