Digital Multimode Filter with Internal Envelope Follower

Lacrima Versio Black by Noise Engineering is a digital multimode filter with an internal envelope follower. Since the filter's characteristic can be steplessly faded from Lowpass to Bandpass to Highpass , it fulfills all the characteristics of a state-variable filter. The resonance goes quite steeply upwards and is able to impose a clear emphasis on the overtones left over from Cutoff . The internal distortion is switchable in its intensity in two steps and can be positioned before, behind and even in the filter by a toggle switch. This ensures a saturated analogue sound despite the purely digital circuitry. Thanks to the internal envelope, which always affects the cutoff control, the sound takes on the typical behaviour of an auto-wah effect. Even more movement in the sound can be easily implemented with the eight CV inputs.
