AAS presents Chromaphone 3, an impressive virtual synthesizer that - like its predecessor - is based on physical modeling. The extraordinary sounds are not created on the basis of oscillations, but basic sounds like noise or hammer blows that excite resonators. Sounds wacky? It is!

Designed from the ground up, the third version for MacOS and Windows combines the advantages of state-of-the-art acoustic object synthesis with the Live-optimized user interface to create a highly musical instrument. This gives you sounds of plastic depth that only real acoustic instruments can offer. Whether it's drum, mallet or percussion sounds - together with the stunning effects, this synth will make sound designers' hearts beat faster. Equalizer, compressor, multi-effects processor, arpeggiator and much more are on board to customize the large number of presets to your liking. Or you can create your very own sound from scratch.

Home View - the redesigned view allows users to browse and tweak presets in a distraction-free and relaxed way.

2-Voice Multitimbral - Two independent timbres - stacked or separate - create live-ready, richly textured and spacious sounds

Macros - Four performance macros per layer that can be assigned to custom MIDI controllers. Each individual sound has real-time controllable modulation, timbre, envelope and effect morphing assignments.

Browser - The all-new Browser provides quick access to the right sounds through Packs, Sounds, Categories, and Creators views.

Factory Library - Chromaphone 3's included presets include 421 brand new sounds as well as refined versions of Chromaphone 2's 670+ presets.
