With the Ortega RUHZ-CE-STAR, the manufacturer Ortega presents a particularly eye-catching member of the Horizon Series. Besides the inverted headstock and the cutaway, the concert ukulele comes with a detailed star design and a noble high-gloss finish. In addition, the laminated construction produces a very warm sound that is excellent for vocal accompaniment. At the same time, the flat neck promises a comfortable grip in all 18 frets. The 4 nylon strings can be tuned easily and precisely with the help of the black die-cast tuners. The in-house pickup system is also equipped with a practical tuner for support. Construction and woods

Since the body is made of laminated Agathis, the instrument develops a warm yet bright sound that travels quickly. The Okoume neck is equipped with a Tecwood fingerboard, which provides optimised access to the high frets because of the Cutaways .

Hardware and design

To make sure that the ukulele intonates cleanly on the whole scale length of 376 mm, the saddle and the 35 mm wide nut are perfectly matched.
