With the Electronic Layered Cajon EC-10, Roland combines a traditional cajon with the modern technology of the popular Roland sound modules. In terms of appearance, you can barely tell a difference when you look at this instrument. The inside of the Electronic Layered Cajon houses modern trigger technology and a large selection of current and classic sounds. Of course, this cajon is already great as an acoustic instrument itself.

The sound module on the inside of this versatile instrument provides you with a large selection of supplementary sounds to integrate them into your playing. The huge variety of classical sounds like tambourine, shaker and snare drum via electronic drums to effect sounds offers the instrumentals a whole new world of sound arrangement options. Last but not least, the combination of acoustic and electronic sounds allows a very dynamic performance with way more freedom a purely electronic sound generation could offer.

Thanks to the compact size and versatility, the cajon has become the most popular on-the-go percussion instrument for street performances, jam sessions or club gigs. With the integrated sound module and two independent triggers, the EC-10 cajon expands the natural limitations of the acoustic instruments with new dimensions and musical expressiveness. Aside from a large number of "foreign" sounds, the acoustic sound of the cajon can be enhanced with studio optimized cajon sounds to achieve more depth and punch.

Unique & independent

Another big advantage of the Electronic Layered Cajon is the unique character. Thanks to integrated amplifier and its own speaker as well as battery compartment, the EC-10 cajon can be used completely independent from its surroundings.

The arrangement of the controls allows the player to change all setting while playing. Simple and super fast sound adaptions during your performance! With a total number of just 4 buttons, you can scroll through the categories and select your favorite sound. The volume control on the back allows you to adjust the volume of the sound and an additional control adjusts the balance of the two triggers.
