There are two microphones, but only one free microphone input?
The Palmer tauber solves the problem in a simple way. The passive microphone merge box has two balanced microphone inputs, which are summed via a resistor matrix to a balanced mono signal, which is output at the XLR output. Sounds simple, it is!
Two dynamic microphones or two condenser microphones should be used. Ideally, the microphones should be identical or of the same type, so that no unwanted level differences occur. Phantom power is passed through to both inputs.
Due to its passive circuitry, the Palmer works deaf without sound coloration and does not require a power supply. Housing and jacks are extremely rugged.
