The Nimo Sounds Handpan A2 Pygmy is a handpan handmade in Cologne with nine notes in the tuning A2 Pygmy. The tones A2 (central tone) // E3 A3 H3 C4 E4 G4 A4 H4 represent a minor pentatonic, which creates a very dreamy-melancholic mood. The A2 Pygmy is characterized by its wide range from quite low (A2) to quite high (H4), which makes you feel drawn to the low bass note again and again, and then combine it with dreamy melodies in between.
As the A2 Py gmy refers to the key of "A minor", it is ideal for playing together with other instruments. The A2 Pygmy also harmonizes well with the classic handpan tuning "D Kurd".

The Nimo Sounds workshop is located in the heart of Cologne. This is where top-class handpans are created with passion and dedication and carefully crafted by hand. All materials and the entire production process are subject to the highest quality standards. The basic material is Ember Steel from the Netherlands, a stainless steel with a high chrome content, which has only recently come onto the market and is characterized by an extremely brilliant, room-filling sound with an unmistakable frequency spectrum. The Nimo Sounds Handpan A2 Pygmy is hand-tuned to the reference tone A4=440 Hz.
The full sound with its flowing character has a fascinating and calming effect and is ideal for improvising and making music, mediation, sound healing and yoga as well as sound therapy.
