With the Gibson 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue Sixties Cherry, the Gibson Custom Shop is launching an authentic reproduction of the Signature guitar that Gibson tailored to the popular guitarist, singer and actor in the wild sixties. With the characteristic Diamond F-Holes and the Firebird headstock, the Trini Lopez guitar clearly stands out from the classic ES-335 and delivers authentic Vintage sounds with custom-bucker pickups. Last but not least, the historically accurate hardware completes the 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue electric guitar from Gibson.
The Gibson 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue Sixties Cherry is an authentic reissue of the legendary Signature ES-335 with an unmistakable look and first-class vintage sounds.
The glued "Authentic '64 Medium C" mahogany neck convinces with first-class playing characteristics in all positions.
ES-335 with Trini Lopez Appointments
The Gibson Trini Lopez is based on the classic ES-335 Semi-Hollow guitar, which is complemented by visual highlights in the form of diamond-shaped F-holes and the Firebird headstock. The three-ply maple-poplar laminate body lends the sound an airy acoustic touch, while the maple center block prevents unwanted feedback even at high volumes. With the pleasantly rounded "Authentic '64 Medium C" profile, the glued mahogany neck also has a butter-soft playability.
While the Diamond F-Holes are one of the unmistakable highlights of the Trini Lopez Standard, Custombuckers deliver authentic vintage sounds.
Custombucker pickups for Vintage sounds
Two Gibson custom bucker pickups with Alnico III magnets take over the electric tone conversion of the Trini Lopez Standard Reissue semi-acoustic guitar. As reproductions of the legendary PAF humbuckers, the pickups deliver a wide sound spectrum, ranging from warm Clean sounds with airy response to juicy Overdrive for Blues and rock. A hand-wired circuit with CTS potentiometers and authentic paper-in-oil capacitors helps you adjust the tone to your own preferences.
The Kluson vintage-style tuners mounted on a common base plate hold the Trini Lopez Standard Reissue guitar securely in the correct tuning.
Historically correct hardware
Of course, historically correct Hardware completes the 1964 Trini Lopez Standard Reissue electric guitar from Gibson. The tailpiece is a single Diamond trapeze Tailpiece with Trini Lopez insert. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with nylon string saddles not only contributes to the strong sound of the Semi Hollow guitar but also guarantees optimum adjustment of intonation and string action. Behind the nylon saddle, Kluson Single Line Strip tuners, which are mounted on a common base plate, ensure precise Tuning of the guitar.
