Dual channel waveform animator
AJH Wave Swarm is a fully analog, two-channel waveform animator in Eurorack format. This module allows you to create large, fat drones and supersaw-like sounds from simple input signals such as sawtooth and triangle waves. This works for all waveforms except rectangular and PWM. Each channel simulates up to six VCOs vibrating at different frequencies in unison. The preset beat frequencies are generated by twelve built-in LFOs, the potentiometers on the front panel can be used to adjust their volume. The volume of the dry signal can also be adjusted with a potentiometer for each of the inputs.
Up to 12 animators can be used in series
In addition to the independent A and B outputs, there is also an A+B output which outputs the sum of the two outputs. This allows an effect to be set that is similar to the sound of 12 VCOs in unison. This is possible because both animator channels are not identical, but have different beat frequencies.
Soft Clip Circuit for More Drive
In addition, a soft-clip circuit has been integrated, which rounds off the signal peaks and depths at higher signal levels and makes the sound softer. For the Soft Clip circuit, there are LED indicators for each channel that provide visual feedback during Soft Clipping.
