RCF NX 915-SMA at a glance

The RCF NX 915-SMA is a stage monitor for PA providers, musicians, bands and DJs. The combination of a 1.75" compression driver, a 15" woofer, a 2-channel 2100W power amplifier and TRW waveguide provides consistent 100° x 70° coverage of the listening area with up to 131 dB SPL of distortion-free sound. The novel design makes the 1.75" voice coil with polyimide capton dome ten times more stable than its predecessors, ensuring more accurate output and improved longevity. The revised phase plug ensures a more transparent sound and less distortion. The special woofer design ensures that the system runs more stable under high load, less distortion and does not overheat as quickly.

Whether used as a stage monitor, stand-alone speaker system, or as a satellite with subwoofer, the compact NX 915-SMA is powerful and reliable. All models in the NX 915-SMA series feature precisely tuned FiRPHASE and Bass motion control algorithms for absolute transparency and rich, powerful bass response. The rugged, tour-ready wooden cabinet is easy to transport and set up on stage or a distance pole.

Power that moves

With 2100 watts of peak power, the NX 9 Series 2-channel Class D power amplifier is 50 percent more powerful than its predecessors, achieving impressive sound pressure levels with ultra-fast attack and natural transient response with low heat loss. The NX 9 speakers are so energy efficient that they do not require a ventilation fan. Instead, the power amplifier is mounted in the rear of the cabinet to a fixed heat exchanger with no moving parts.

The signal input path has been optimized for low distortion and, for added safety, features an advanced limiter that preserves the sound characteristics of the input signal at all levels. All NX 9 power amplifiers are standardized for maximum safety (EN62368-1) and are powered by a highly efficient yet ultra-lightweight switching power supply.

Only one combo input, but it sounds good

Simply connect the output of your mixer or audio device to the combo jack (jack & XLR). The low-noise input passes the signal unchanged to the power amp.

Robust and suitable for touring

The NX 9-SMA speakers shine as FOH systems and also as floor monitors. Their flexibility makes them the perfect choice for a variety of live sound applications. The rugged wooden cabinets are easy to transport thanks to ergonomic aluminum handles. A steel high stand flange allows vertical mounting on a tripod or subwoofer distance rod.

The speaker cabinet is made of high-quality birch multiplex, whose individual layers are glued together with a special adhesive. This makes the cabinet waterproof from the ground up, even before it is coated with the special polyurea lacquer that gives it high scratch and impact resistance.

Perfectly suited for use in horizontal or vertical position

Thanks to the TWR waveguide and the lateral high stand flange, the NX 9-SMA can be used as a powerful main speaker and mounted on a stand or combined with a subwoofer.

FRFR Full Range Flat Response

The NX 9-SMA series of active stage monitors are the perfect complement to a multi-effects unit or modeling amp. FRFR stands for Full Range Flat Response and allows you to listen to the sound through a remarkably neutral speaker. With 2100 watts, a linear frequency response and 0° phase response, the NX speaker can serve as a guitar or bass speaker as well as a stage monitor. The characteristic tonal coloration of traditional guitar speakers can become a problem when multiple modern guitar effects and different guitar sounds are used, especially on stage.

With a neutral and analytical speaker, you can customize your guitar sound to your taste, with all the freedom and power you need to rock out on stage.
