The M-Audio Forty Eighty speaker offers a versatile audio solution for professional audio applications, music production and content creation. The self-amplifying monitor allows flexible connectivity via XLR and 6.35 mm TRS connectors, ensuring a straightforward connection to an audio interface, mixing console or computer. The integrated bass port ensures clear bass reproduction by efficiently radiating low-frequency sounds below 60 Hz and reducing overheating. Thanks to Bluetooth support, the speaker can also be connected wirelessly to smartphones or other devices, ensuring high flexibility for different listening environments and connectivity needs. The Stereo Link™ function allows two speakers to be connected for optimal stereo playback.

The Forty Eighty offers several preset equalizer voicings that can be selected via the front panel control or the M-Audio Studio Control App. This app also allows the creation of individual EQ curves so that the sound reproduction can be optimally adapted to the acoustics of the room. The modes available are "Flat" for neutral reproduction, "Hype " for enhanced bass and treble and "Custom" for user-defined settings. The MDF housing is vibration-damping and gives the speaker additional stability.

With an output power of 150 watts (80 W for the bass driver and 70 W for the tweeter) and a maximum volume of 116 dB, the Forty Sixty offers impressive volume and precision in the frequency range from 32 Hz to 22 kHz. Bluetooth 5.3 technology enables wireless transmission over a distance of up to 30 meters, while the robust construction and low power consumption make the speaker ideal for everyday professional use.
