In addition to the extensively designed effects section, the ME-90 offers an equally versatile selection of classic amp sounds ranging from traditional US cleans to fiercely distorting high-gain behemoths. The key to success here is the sophisticated Boss AIRD technology, which gives the 11 amp models the authentic feel of a real tube amp. These can furthermore be combined with their own impulse responses via the ME-90 IR Loader software to set no limits to the sonic possibilities.

Easy-to-use stompbox-style interface

Unlike many other floorboards, the Boss ME-90 relies on a straightforward User interface that will especially appeal to fans of classic Vintage stompboxes. All sections of the Boss ME-90 are characterized by their operation via rotary knobs so that each parameter is not only immediately in view but also adjustable in no time without annoying switching of various submenus. In addition to the eight multifunction footswitches, there is also a practical expression pedal with an integrated toe switch for real-time control of individual effect parameters.

Boss Tone Studio for Deep Level Editing & Customizing

If you want to customize the Boss ME-90 down to the smallest detail, you can simply download the Boss Tone Studio software. The practical app for macOS and Windows provides access to the full range of functions of the smart floorboard and allows extensive deep-level editing of individual sound profiles and patches, adjustments of the internal amp and effect selection and much more. Control via MIDI is also easily possible via the optionally available Boss Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor.

Stereo outputs, FX loop & headphones

In order to play to its strengths in every area of application, the Boss ME-90 has smart and clear connection options. In addition to the input for the instrument, an output in stereo format is available, which outputs the sum either for guitar amplifiers or as a line signal. An effects loop for integrating external effects units or for using the ME-90 with amplifiers via four-cable method is also easily possible. Last but not least, an additional headphone jack is available for silent operation.
