Dynamic sound with high-end features
The Yamaha Absolute Maple Hybrid Stage Vintage Natural convinces with expressiveness and dynamics, these form the sonic foundation. For the realization of these properties, a hybrid shell technology was used, which has already celebrated considerable success in the high-end series PHX. The Absolute Maple Hybrid maple and wenge shells offer an exceptionally high dynamic range and are equipped with cast hoops, Remo heads and optimized bearing edges.
The shell construction
Maple serves as the main material of the Absolute Hybrid Maple Drums, supported by a middle ply of wenge, a very hard and heavy wood known for its clear and precise tone. The combination of both woods makes for an outstanding drum sound that doesn't get lost when played particularly loudly or extremely quietly, and offers an excellent profile.
Hook Lugs & Y.E.S.S. III
The Hook Lugs have always been one of the reasons for the popularity of the drums from the Absolute series and are of course also installed in the Absolute Maple Hybrid Drums. Thanks to these innovative lugs, a head change can be done in a fraction of the time it used to take, because they can be easily unhooked from the shell. Thus, it is no longer necessary to completely unscrew the tuning rods.
