The ADAM Audio A44H midfield speaker is very close to the A7V in terms of performance data, but offers a somewhat unusual and interesting housing variant: Thanks to the horizontal driver arrangement and the 19-inch width, the monitor can be perfectly placed on a studio rack and above or below a screen. It is particularly suitable as a centre speaker in a surround setup (5.1, 7.1 or 3D monitor configuration) and delivers a wide frequency range thanks to the two 4-inch long-throw woofers and the X-ART tweeter.

In addition, there are various DSP functions that help you configure the speaker in the room. or simple and quick EQ interventions, remote control via software or extensive calibration with external measurement microphones including Sonarworks software (not included) - the choice is yours.

X-ART tweeter & rotatable HPS waveguide.

Thanks to the ADAM Audio HPS Waveguide, you get precisely directed sound with wide dispersion in the horizontal and tight focus in the vertical. Made of a novel high-density fibreglass polymer material, unwanted resonances are minimized, resulting in a clearer sound image. Conveniently, the tweeter can be rotated 90 degrees to allow the monitor to be used both vertically and horizontally without sacrificing the benefits of the waveguide.

In the centre of this HPS waveguide is the so-called X-ART tweeter - handmade in Germany and with the guarantee of maximum impulse response and detail.

Woofer made of multi-layer mineral

The bass drivers of each A-Series speaker consist of multiple, tightly bonded layers of a mineral fibre material that is characterized by low weight and maximum stiffness. Specially adapted for each speaker model and in combination with the likewise newly developed magnet system, each bass driver delivers high levels with minimal distortion - optimal for a transparent and powerful Bass during playback.

The best of digital & analogue

Driven by Class-D power amplifiers, the bass drivers are ideally suited for linear performance and minimal distortion. The power amplifiers are used to impress with high efficiency and low heat generation while creating the potential for further improvements and even higher performance.

For high and, depending on the model, also mid-range drivers, Class AB power amplifiers are used, which are known for particularly neutral reproduction of high frequencies.

DSP technology

Compared to pure analogue speakers, A-Series models deliver significantly improved and more extensive fine-tuning options. Thanks to the integrated DSP, the speakers can be easily connected via Ethernet and fed with the latest firmware updates. So you always get the latest filter types, voicings and more.

The 4-band equalizer with its parameters for bass, desk, presence and Treble allows over 100 variants of fine-tuning for adjustments to the most demanding listening environments within seconds.

Another practical feature is the possibility of remote control via A Control Remote software. Here you can conveniently adjust the monitoring volumes and all settings, completely independent of your monitoring position. Especially in multi-purpose studio rooms, the quick reconfiguration of all monitor functions via A Control is particularly useful.

However, if you prefer to calibrate your setup with the help of a measuring microphone and the popular Sonarworks software (both not included), you can also do this without any problems!
