Rample Turbo is the second Generation of the four-voice polyphonic sample player from Squarp Instruments. As in the first version, it offers an impressive range of functions. The module provides access to up to 2600 kits via MicroSD card, each containing four sounds and their settings. or playing short percussion sounds, breakbeat loops or minute-long sound clusters, no problem for Rample Turbo. It is also possible to layer each of the four tracks twelve times; a total of 48 samples are therefore possible at the same time, but still in four voices. This is particularly interesting if you want to use a complete drum kit or 12 velocity versions of a sample. The Sample Player also plays stereo samples, but the neighboring channel must be "sacrificed" to ensure audio output in Stereo . Each track is equipped with five audio effects: a pitch shifter with an octave range up and down, bitcrusher, lowpass/highpass filter, Freeze (perfect for glitch sounds) and the volume as a separate parameter. Thanks to the four CV inputs, the sounds to be played back really come to life here! As an alternative to control via CV/Gate , the module can be controlled entirely via MIDI. The polychain option allows you to cascade several Rample Turbo modules for 8/12/16 or more voices.
The entire audio path has been improved and redesigned for the Turbo version. As a result, everything sounds much clearer and more detailed in the high frequencies. In addition, the background noise that occurs in quiet moments has been reduced to such an extent that it has been almost completely eliminated and the module comes through more transparently in Mix . Visually, Rample Turbo stands out with color accents in red, yellow, green and blue as well as gray outputs.
