Connections from future to retro

Hapax is equipped with all the connections that a primarily "dawless setup" requires. On the MIDI side, there are three assignable outputs with a DIN socket and one output with a TRS connection. The MIDI inputs are represented by one DIN and one TRS socket. TRS is always useful if the other instrument or module, such as eg. Rample also has a TRS connection, which saves the MIDI-TRS adapter. Those who prefer to work with a Eurorack modular system and synthesizers from the pre-MIDI era will get their money's worth with four freely assignable CV/Gate outputs and two CV inputs. The footswitch input allows Hapax to be started remotely when a footswitch is connected. Modern interfaces are also implemented in this sequencer: USB to Host enables the connection of a controller or master keyboard, USB to Device is intended for controlling a VST instrument in the computer, among other things.
